We headed right out our back door and up Spearfish mountain, with 2500 feet of climbing to be had, in the next 6 miles.
Kristi pushing forward on the rim of Spearfish Canyon.
Stopping to check out a riparian area mid climb.
Up high the views were beautiful!
The dirt roads turned to snowy paths in the high country.
An old two story cabin near Carbonate and the town cemetery.
Kristi says a prayer at the gravestones. RIP
We were fortunate to spot the old abandoned bus that I had heard of, but never quite found. We thought we may have to spend the night here as the maze of old dirt roads was hiding our destination from us and dark was fast approaching!
Last climb to our destination was a steep one.
Time to set up camp and have a Crow Peak Brew.
The next morning we woke to falling snow in a white forrest. We had to go see the bus one last time before dropping down into the Canyon.
Getting fresh tracks back to town, down Twin Bridges and Tinton Trail was the icing on the cake! Pedal POWder!! Let it Snow.....
